Configuration

  • Start the application. (There is a shortcut in your start menu Yoma/Yoma Arma Addon Synchroniser).
  • Fill in the ServerName of the server you whish to connect to.
  • Fill in the URL for the Addons Server (e.g http://www.yomatools.be), you should ask your Arma Server Administrator for the correct URL
  • Fill in the IP address for the Game Server (this is the server that you connect to to play Arma) , you should ask your Arma Server Administrator for the correct IP address.
  • Fill in the correct Port number for your game server.
  • If the gameserver is passworded, you can fill in the in the password field.
  • Click "Save Server"

Synchronising (=downloading the addons you need)

  • If the Addons Server URL is correct then the grid under "Modfolders on this server" should have a 1 or more modfolders. If it doesn't fill and the Addons Server URL is correct then most likely the Addons Server is down or being updated.
  • When you click on one of the addons folders, the application will jump to the synchronise tab. Here you can click compare files or download files.
  • Compare files will give you a list in which the addonfiles on the server are listed.  Each file has a status
  • OK: means you have the file locally and it's the same one as on the server
  • CHANGED: means that the file you have is different from the one on the server, and it should be downloaded.
  • NEW: means that you don't have the file at all, thus it should also be downloaded.
  • NEW LOCAL: means that you have a file in your local modfolder that is NOT on the server.
  • When you doubleclick on a pbo file in the grid then the application will try to open your default browser, go to the Arma.info website and check if they have any information on the pbo. This way you can actually get an idea of what you are about to download.
  • When you click download you'll see a statusbar running showing what file it's currently downloading + the percentage downloaded.
  • If all goes well then you get a message "Download Finished"

Launching Arma with correct addons

After you've downloaded the correct addons, it's time to play!

  • Click on the Launch Game tab.
  • If you just downloaded new mods, click the "refresh mod list" button.
  • In the left pane you can see all detected modfolders your Arma installation has.
  • By default the application will tick those that are detected on the selected Addons Server. You may have to untick some because there can be a difference between the Modserver and the Gameserver, but that's up to the Arma Server Administrators.
  • If you want to check if the server is online before trying to launch the game, you can click "Who's Playing"
  • If you want the application to continueously check a server click "Monitor Server" It will then refresh every 30 seconds
  • You can select some launch options with the ticks. Allways check the password tick before launching. Sometimes a server gets password protected/unprotected. When the server is not passwordprotected, but you have the normal password set in your settings untick the "connect with password" option. This way you won't get an errormessage after launching.
  • Now your ready to go:  CLICK Launch Arma

That's all there is to it.
